Seven of Eight

Here I am going to show you guys images of Kenneth and Lauren's children...at least, seven of them. The eighth one, Adron, will have his own post, which I will explain when I get there.

Lauren birthed quadruplets while the Rebellion was hiding from the Raraks in Italy, four boys. In order of age from oldest to youngest there were Luke, Tyler, Darien, and Adron. Each son was different in his own way, especially with eye color and personality.

Luke, the oldest, was always the most mature. With dark hair and dark eyes, he looked like his father a lot, with a charming smile and tiny ears. He also was the tallest of the four, at full height reaching six feet, two inches tall. Finding a picture to portray him was really hard until I came across a hairstyling magazing with this image in it:

And trying to forget about that weird jacket he's wearing, I fell in love with it. It's just how I imagined him. And he kind of looks a little like Christian Bale, too! After Pierre, the other Lord of the Rebellion, died from a wound by Leigh Simmons, the Rebels followed his will, which stated that Luke was to take his place. Although the Lords were father and son, Luke felt like he was in his father's shadow more than in his own element, which was good and bad in his mind. He was honored, very honored, to be a Lord at 18 years old.

Tyler, the second-born quadruplet, was the quieter type, much like his cousin Ariel, and the two of them were very close despite their enormous age difference (Ariel was 20 when the quadruplets were born). Born with blue eyes and brown hair, Tyler looked like his mother. He learned how to fly a plane faster than any of his siblings, and most called him gifted. He had inherited his mother's genius too, and loved learning about physical chemistry and thermodynamics, hoping one day to be a chemical engineer. To portray Tyler I found a good image in the same magazine as Luke's image.

I like the dreamy look in his eyes. He's strong, and at the same time he has a weakness like everyone else. Some said that Tyler loved the science of the war more than the duties of the Rebellion itself, but it was all in jest. Anyone could see Tyler's deep love for his family and the human race.

Darien was the jokester of the family, stemming from Kenneth's good-natured laugh and sense of humor. He loved to play tricks of all kinds, mostly on Annelise's daughter Lara. The two of them became very close and eventually married, which some joked was the only moment Darien was ever serious in his life. He was a good pilot, and was fascinated by the dream of killing Leigh Simmons himself. Another hairstyle picture was to fit this young man too, because the hardest thing ever is to do this with real actors. Not gonna happen.

Darien is supposed to have his father's bright green eyes, but of course nothing is perfect. Still, this young man's smile is pretty close to the smile of the jokester I created. Nice. :)

Adron will have his own page, and the length of it will tell you why!

After the quadruplets, Lauren had twins Evan and Jesse, two boys (yes, there are twins all over this series!). They have minor roles, but basically they can finish each other's sentences and love to please their father by helping around the base, the house, etc. To portray Evan I used Ben Skywalker (I knooooow Star Wars AGAIN) and to portray Jesse I used a random kid I found and have no idea who he is but I love him.

To the left is Evan, and to the right is Jesse.

Jesse looks like Giada, so jackpot! He's supposed to look a lot like his mother! :)

After Evan and Jesse were born, two more children entered the world, ANOTHER pair of twins! Landon, a boy, and Ashleigh, the only St. John girl. They also have minor roles, and were only twelve when the series ended, but I have images for them nonetheless. Ashleigh had inherited her fahter's spunky personality and red hair, while Landon was introverted and shy, with dark hair and blue eyes, like Tyler.

 

Landon's a work-in progress; I'm still having a hard time finding exactly what I want. I may go younger and grab images of these two when they're still toddlers, because I have pictures for those. So look for an update of this post!

Intro: Lauren Clay

Intro: Lauren Clay

Possibly the only woman in the world that could make a perfect match to the wild, redheaded Kenneth St. John is Lauren Marie Clay, the U.S. Representative of Maryland. She was a Warrior since she was a young teenager, and is 28 in the beginning of the series. I ran into a minor conflict because apparently 28 is too young to be a Senator, which is what she was before...but I fixed it. She's a Representative now.

With beautiful brown hair and dazzling eyes, she stole Kenneth's heart almost immediately as she intercepted him on a dangerous mission and saved his life, along with Matt's. After the Raraks burned down Arnold's mansion because they thought Kenneth was living there, Arnold, Annelise, Kenneth, Vincent, and Matt went to live in Lauren's large but cozy estate in D.C., with a gorgeous garden and weeping willows. For having such a nice income, her home was small compared to Arnold's, but it was just the right size for the thrown-together family.

Lauren had an enormous IQ and finished high school at 13 years old. She went to Harvard and practiced law, and became a district attorney at 18. Since then, she made her way through campaigns to become a Representative, even though her parents despised her decision. They were not present at her university graduation, and their decision to alienate her still haunts her.

She fell in love with Kenneth shortly after he fell in love with her, and even though he was 12 years older than her, they were very happy and produced eight happy children: seven boys and a single girl. She supported every decision her husband made, especially after Arnold died and Kenneth took his place, and was a kind mother figure to Annelise as well, even giving her love advice about Matt and Vincent. Lauren loves coffee and pickles, which Kenneth teases her about, and she never could have one without the other. She perceived Arnold as a grandfather figure, and loved him very dearly, and she was very close to Lane after he was rescued from Mikhail. She was always easy to talk to, easy to please, and easy to make laugh.

Lauren is portrayed perfectly in Giada de Laurentiis, the famous chef, just when she's a lot younger (kind of like the situation with Lane). I've seen a lot of pictures of Giada recently, and although she's gorgeous, aging doesn't do Lauren for her :D

Intro: Arnold Reagan

I KNOW I PROMISED KENNETH'S WIFE FIRST but I had to do Arnold if the wife was going to make any sense at all. Arnold is the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, and one of the Lords of the Rebellion (there are two). That means that he's in charge of the entire Rebellion, its members, and personally oversees the death of the Invasion that it fights. He stays in the dark most of the time, doing all of his work from the shadows. Even after his death, the Raraks don't know who the Lord was. He was an expert on knowing what to do in order to keep his people safe. 

A longtime friend of Kenneth St. John, Arnold lived in a huge mansion for most of his adult life, near the Senate and close to the White House. The mansion was a symbol of wealth, but Arnold was not as rich as most thought he was. He was exceedingly generous with his money, giving most of it to the Rebellion in order to secure weapons, armor, men, etc. 

Arnold was smart too, and figured out Talarixor's disguise. He was always careful, maybe too careful. Kenneth, Vincent, and Lane, who were always reckless, sometimes were fed up with Arnold's careful ways, but Annelise loved him like a grandfather and was so grateful that he offered to take care of her after her father died. 

Arnold died in space combat, which was a terrible blow to the Rebellion and a victory for the Raraks, after they discovered who he really was. Kenneth succeeded him as Lord of the Rebellion, and Pierre LaBeuf, the French Lord of the Rebellion and the only other Lord too, stayed in office until his death after the war ended. Kenneth and Pierre worked together hard in order to bring about peace and justice to the human race.

Funny enough, I use Jimmy Olander from the band Diamond Rio to portray Arnold. It's just how I imagine him, and you have to sympthasize with me. What else am I to do? :D

Although Arnold is a recurring character in the series, he's quite minor, because he dies in the second book and doesn't ever have much spotlight. But he's important, and I love him.

Intro: Matthew and Lane Maher

Intro: Matt and Lane Maher

I'm putting these two guys in the same one because they're brothers. Even though it's a little long, they deserve to be together, because they're very close...and the story just would not be complete without them.

In the beginning of the series, Matt is 17, Annelise's age, and Lane is 13. I'll go over a few physical traits before I tell you about their stories. Matt is the tallest character, reaching a height of six feet six inches. Tall and really thin, and not really muscular, he has brown hair and brown eyes. He's a genius at computers and loves math and physics. Lane is the polar opposite, with brown hair too, but hazel eyes, and standing at height of 5'5": more than a foot shorter than his brother. He hates school, but has been taking karate for three years and loves it. Martial skills are his prime attribute. Besides Matt and Lane, there were five other children in their house, Matt being the oldest and Lane being the youngest boy.

The Mahers grew up two houses away from Annelise, and Matt and Annelise were childhood friends. Matt had a crush on Annelise for years but she returned his advances coldly, with little more than a sarcastic laugh. She was never ready for love, and wasn't sure if she loved him at all other than friendship. Matt suffered from personality issues because of this; he didn't understand his purpose in life. Annelise and Lane didn't have much of a relationship because he was so much younger than she.

When Annelise learns of the Invasion and the Rebellion, Matt is there, and she suspects that he is a Rarak. Because of her hysterical sobbing in fear, he does as she tells him and pricks his finger. After seeing the red blood, Annelise sinks to the ground and cries in self-pity and fear. That was when she told him everything that she had learned from the recruiter, and Matt joins the Rebellion too. After Peter was murdered, Annelise wasn't safe where she was anymore. The murderer was looking for Kenneth, and she was the first stop for torture. The recruiter gets a hold of her superior, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, and Kenneth. Both would take care of her in Washington D.C. Matt decided to go with her in order to keep her safe, and never told his family because of the stress and time. Within a few weeks, the Mahers believed their oldest son dead.

Lane refused to believe that Matt was dead, and set out to find him a few months later. It was around that time that he was intercepted by a recruiter known Mikhail Zemstov, who recruited men for the Rebellion Assassins, a group of heretics that literally killed Raraks for fun. There was no justice, and these Assassins would sit and think of grand ways to kill the Raraks. Mikhail told Lane that Matt was dead, and convinced the young Maher to join him. Within a few days, Lane's martial skills were put to the test. And within a few weeks, he was a General for the Rebellion Assassins.

The brothers are reunited at the Matterhorn in the Swiss Alps, after Lane killed a Rarak Senator in America. Matt was able to contact him and convince his brother to tell where the Rebellion Assassins were hiding, for they were wanted by both the Rebellion and the Invasion. After they were reunited, Lane left Mikhail after killing him, and joined the Rebellion as a General. Together, the brother overcame brilliant odds, and although they were never reunited with their biological family to keep the Rebellion safe, they had each other forever.

To portray Matt I used the handsome Anakin Solo, the son of Princess Leia and Han Solo from Star Wars. Of course, this is a fictional character, but I found a few nice images that really give me what I want.

It's a work in progress. No one is that cute in real life, I don't think. :) But I like to think of him looking a lot more mature than Lane, who I imagine to be a cute man forever.

To portray Lane I went all-out, using Richard Madden. I don't like the curly hair, but the face is so perfect that it's not even funny. Straighten your hair, Rich, and I'll accept you completely :D

Of course, the top one is Lane like when he's thirty-something. Oh well. I think it's perfect otherwise :D

Intro: Vincent Sullivan

Intro: Vincent Sullivan

Vincent is the character that I put all my emotions in as I write, which can sometimes hurt him. I relate to him the most, and he's pretty close and special to me.

Vincent was born just a couple years before Annelise and Ariel were, the son of two bipolar induced Raraks. Because of their disorder, his parents put off Changing their son just because they didn't care. They were violent to each other, and to him. Vincent's childhood was a lonely and vicious one. Vincent grew to hate his parents just like Leigh had, but his bloodlust was not there like hers was. Instead, he overheard them talking about killing him one night, and that spiked fear in his heart. When they discovered that they had overheard him, they immediately tried to kill him (bipolar, craziness). Vincent defended himself, pleading for them to stop, but in the end, it was an ultimatum: either he let them kill him, or he kill them to protect his life.

He killed his parents and escaped the house, homeless at twelve years old. He hired himself out to a local farm and paid for an apartment in another town, disappearing completely from the world of his childhood. It was about this time that he was discovered by a Rebellion recruiter. She heard his story and welcomed him into the Rebellion.

It just so happened that, with the money given to him for joining the Rebellion, he had enough money to continue his education, and joined Annelise's class in high school. She noticed that he was a quiet young man, and even though she wanted to get to know him, he showed animosity to the happier students. She grew to loathe him for his anger. After she learned about the Rebellion, Annelise ran into Vincent at the recruiter's office, and they got to know each other a little better, although he was still cold to her.

He refused to love, and he couldn't be happy. The only love that he had ever experienced had been for a young girl his age named Jasmine Phoenix, when he was around 14 years old. They had had a passionate romance until one day Jasmine had stepped on a tack...and had bled green blood. Devastated, Vincent tore himself even further away from the social world, swearing never to love again.

After a few years of healing he met Annelise, and fell in love with her. He fully healed after confronting Jasmine on the planet Rarak itself. Together they battled the Rarak Invasion, and later got married and had two daughters, twins Lara and Mara Sullivan.

Vincent is a strong fighter, but headstrong. He would be the first to lay his life down for the human race, which got him arrested once for trying to kill James Kelley (aka Talarixor), leading to a jailbreak. He continuously has nightmares, mostly about his mother and father. But following his marriage to Annelise, he found peace at last.

To portray Vincent, I chose Alex Pettyfer (not ideal). The skin tone, hair, and eyes are right, but there's something about Alex's eyebrows I don't like a lot. But Alex is definitely a good start, and a good model to show you guys.

Such a nice face. Almost perfect :)

Kenneth St. John - the Best Man

Intro: Kenneth St. John

The very NAME was a name in the Invasion that created fear. Kenneth St. John was unique in nearly all aspects - his name, his looks, his abilities, and his heart. He became a Warrior in the Rebellion when he was fourteen, and ever since then, was active in the field for decades. He wasn't a spy - he was a true fighter, actually killing Raraks that infiltrated the Rebellion and its ways.

He was deemed within months of his recruitment "impossible to kill" by the Invasion. By the age of sixteen he had already killed hundreds of Raraks to protect his planet and his race. With his flaming red hair and green eyes, he was impossible to mistake for anyone else, and the Raraks feared him. He was the only one that they truly feared. Until Kenneth was killed, Talarixor knew that taking over the world would be impossible. So Kenneth was the #1 target for decades.

Kenneth was Regina's little brother, and he was very close to her. She was a senior in high school when he was recruited, and she helped him learn the ways of combat in confidence, even though she was a spy and little else. Kenneth saw more action in a month than she did in two years. After she died at the age of twenty-nine, he nearly broke.

Kenneth knew Leigh Simmons very well, almost too well. Leigh rose in the ranks of the Rarak Assassins quickly, and soon was seen as the best in the Invasion. The Raraks thought that if anyone could kill Kenneth, it would be her. So they sent her after him as they tracked one of his missions to China. He was retrieving a secret device for the Rebellion that the Invasion knew nothing about, but they DID know that Kenneth couldn't keep it. So they sent Leigh down to intercept him.

A terrible duel arose on the Great Wall of China, and both parties ended up quite wounded, although Leigh failed to steal the information that he was carrying. She regarded this as a terrible failure, and vowed revenge. He regarded the fight as too close to failure, and he vowed to kill her. Their relationship was one of the purest hate.

Because he was Annelise's uncle, Kenneth took care of her after Peter died, and instructed her in the ways of the Rebellion. She became a Warrior under his guidance, and so did Ariel after his rescue. Kenneth was there when Annelise discovered that she even HAD a twin (neither she nor Peter was ever told), and he was also there when Annelise and Ariel did most of their missions. His hate for Leigh continued to carry on, and their many duels throughout the series shows that. Kenneth also had close ties to the government through the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of America, whose intro I'll do shortly. Kenneth was present for a majority of the battles within the series. The series begins with him at forty years old, and a bachelor, but ends with him married, sixty years old, and the father of eight children.

To portray Kenneth I chose good old Christian Bale. I just need to convince Christian to wear green contacts everywhere he goes! :) And the beard. Kenneth has a beard.

He's just perfect for the role. I can totally see him battling aliens from a distant galaxy, no problem! (And kicking Black Widow's butt....yeah!) :D

Villain: Talarixor

Intro: Talarixor

All right, here is who the entire Invasion circles around: the Lord of the Invasion, Talarixor. Despite his high title, the series has little to do with him until his death, which has big consequences. His greatest goal is to kill all the humans of the world one by one, and use those who USED to be humans to do the killing.

Before I go on, there are those of you wondering why Ariel wasn't turned into a Rarak too. The Raraks were interested in keeping these slaves as "backups" in case there is a failure. The slaves were never changed, but instead, they were robbed of their sound mind. They watched as some slaves became Raraks right in front of their eyes (I will detail the procedure later on). They were the picture of despair in a terrible war. And Talarixor loved that.

But Ariel was special because of his family. He was tortured to find out where one particular family member was hiding (whose introduction I will do after this one). So he never was changed. If he became a Rarak, he would lose all sense of who his family was, which was something the Raraks didn't want.

Now he was kidnapped as a baby, so of course he wouldn't know where the family member was, but he was given a special drug that gave visions, hallucinations. This drug, called Clown's Mind, will also be discussed later. For now, all you need to know is that he was not Changed (that's what the human-to-Rarak process is called). Also, Changing cannot be reversed. The Rebellion found out about this Changing procedure quite early on, but it was impossible to find a cure. Once you were a Rarak, there was no going back, and it was better to kill yourself than to live and kill others.

So Talarixor. He rose to power as a child, the son of the previous Lord of the Raraks, and killed his father so that he could have the Throne. His mother had died in childbirth, so the Raraks revered him as their predestined Lord. He personally wanted to be responsible for the downfall of humans, so he took drastic action. Raraks look like humans, except instead of having a peach-colored tint to their skin, their skin is tinted green from their green blood. It's barely noticeable though - it's like the green you become after getting sick on a carnival ride. It's easy for them to pose as ordinary humans.

Then Talarixor decided to create and alter ego with a different name - and run for federal office...in America. He was a good talker, and turned many people to his side of any argument. He sweet-talked women of all ages, and became a hero in the eyes of children. It didn't take to long to get all the way to the top...and when I say all the way, I mean ALL THE WAY.

He became our President.

To portray Talarixor, I chose a various array of images. Some you might know, some not. I'll explain them though :)

 

Take out that good ol' lightsaber held by Darth Vectivus, and he becomes Talarixor. I like to imagine him clean-shaven, and this was a flexible image that makes it easy to imagine the greenish skin.

This is Darth Rivan (see where my ideas come from? HUGE Star Wars geek). I like the mysteriousness of his eyes, and the skin looks pretty green. Nice Talarixor image. I like to keep the guy mysterious.

 

This is Talarixor's alter ego, the President of the United States, James Kelley, portrayed by Biggs Darklighter, a friend of Luke Skywalker's that dies in A New Hope at the Battle of Yavin. I like the blue tones - the image is gorgeous.

Talarixor dies "tragically" about two years after the beginning of the series due to health problems. It's pretty significant because I wanted to show that the Raraks ARE mortal, just more advanced and more evil. Health problems can kill just as easily as a bullet or a sword.

So that's all the juice about the Lord of the Raraks - let's continue on to the most important character in the Rebellion, Kenneth St. John, Regina's sister.

Leigh Simmons: Best Villain of All

Intro: Leigh Simmons

Okay, so I promised I would give you guys a couple evil characters so that you can get an idea of the beauty of the Invasion (I really love this series, it just really needs to be cleaned up before I publish it because, like, I wrote it when I was 15 and I didn't know how to write back then haha).

Leigh Simmons was born a regular human nineteen years before Annelise annd Ariel were born. She lived in England, with her librarian mother and her mechanic father. Both of her parents were induced Raraks - I'll explain that in a minute.

Leigh grew up in what seemed to be a regular home. No one suspected that her parents were evil. No one had any idea, including Leigh. Growing up, she believed that her family was normal. But it wasn't.

The Rarak Army lost many soldiers during the first couple years of the Invasion. They had trouble adjusting to our atmosphere, and more than millions died. The Raraks decided that there was a better way to invade - by turning humans against each other (kind of cliche, maybe. I don't watch a lot of horror movies - totally came up with this on my own). They replaced the blood of the humans with the green blood of the Raraks. Once these victims woke up, they were no longer human. This instituted the Rarak motto: "Blood makes you who you are."

Millions of humans suffered in this way, and the Raraks quickly reinstituted their numbers with higher-end humans that could take this atmosphere. And quickly, the Raraks became nearly invincible.

England had an enormous number of Rebellion spies (the good guys), and the Raraks were determined to stamp them out. They created more Rarak spies in England than in any other country, and this number included Leigh's parents. The Raraks "breed" their creations to make even more Raraks, but human blood is dominant over the Rarak blood, so ninety percent of children bred by induced Raraks were human.

Nothing a little blood change couldn't fix.

But Leigh was different. She was born with allergies and asthma, and was pathetically underweight. Basically, she could not become a good soldier. The Raraks discarded any idea of her becoming a soldier for them, and suggested that her parents kill her and try for another kid.

But Leigh killed her parents before they could kill her. She had become fascinated with death by the age of ten, and even though she had no idea her parents were going to kill her, she killed them, just for fun.

And that's when the Lord of the Raraks became fascinated with HER. This frail ten-year-old child had such a thirst for blood that she had killed her own parents, and gotten away with it? He ordered that she meet him at once, and she became a Rarak Assassin by the time she was nineteen. She's malicious, blood-thirsty, and the farthest thing from sympathetic one gets. Even more, she's gorgeous, and the easiest way to kill Rebellion Warriors was to seduce them, then slit their throats. That's what she did best.

Her second mission, at the age of nineteen, was to kill Regina St. John Drake, Annelise and Ariel's mother and bring back the baby that she was carrying (I will tell you about her first mission during another character's intro). When Leigh discovered that the Warrior had been carrying two, the Invasion stole the stronger one and kept the other one for the father. Leigh suggested they kill Annelise, but the Invasion was tricky. They knew the best ways to make it look like Regina had died in childbirth, and that meant let Annelise survive. Remember: the Invasion HAD to remain a secret. It wasn't interested in setting the whole world ablaze with war. It would not win if all the countries of the world turned against it. No, it was subtle. It made the world writhe from the inside out.

So Leigh was the one that killed Annelise and Ariel's mother, but her place in the series is much bigger than that.

Finding someone to portray Leigh was extremely difficult. I didn't have a clear image in my mind what she looked like. then I found a picture of Mara Jade Skywalker, from Star Wars. And I fell in love with it.

I thought to myself, "This is it, this is Leigh." Particularly, this is her at nineteen, when she kills Regina. She's nearly fifty-five at the end of the series, so I apologize if I don't have that clear of an understanding of what she looks like. But this is how I imagine her at nineteen, that picture there.


Here are a few more pictures that I get ideas of her character from. YES that is Black Widow. Can't stand her, but her hair and clothes are perfect for Leigh!

Intro: Ariel Drake

Intro: Ariel Drake

Continuing my trend from the last post, I give you the next character in my Invasion of the Raraks series, Ariel Drake, who is Annelise's twin brother. I know what y'all are probably thinking: that's a girl name!!! Actually, it's both! I worked with a guy named Ariel and I thought it was just so wonderful that I had to incorporate it SOMEHOW!

Ariel's only a little taller than Annelise. While she stands at 5 feet tall, he stands at 5'3". He has a small, quiet personality to match; he's not the type to rush into dire situations. In short, he's a thinker, and seventeen years in the Rarak's slave facility will do that to you. For a long time after he is rescued by Annelise and her Warrior friend Vincent Sullivan (who will have a post shortly), Ariel seems to drift in time, unsure of what to do with himself. He's a legit genius though - he knows spacecraft construction, security, demolitions...all the good stuff. In time, he learns to live with his terrible past, and looks forward to a bright future. He becomes a Warrior like his sister and mother, and strives to fight for the end of the Invasion.

To portray Ariel I chose Chris Pine years and years ago, back when I saw him for the first time in Princess Diaries II. Even though Chris is now a little old to portray the young Ariel, I still imagine Ariel looking much like him.

 

 

His eyes are so special, haha. I'm crazy. I went and saw him in Star Trek, both movies, just to go off on a tangent for a second. I love him. I wish he could stay THIS young forever!

Intro: Annelise Drake

The INVASION OF THE RARAKS

The first novel series I am going to expose is my sci-fi awesomness known as the Invasion of the Raraks. There's a whole ARMY'S worth of characters in this series, but I'm going to show you the main twenty or so before I move on to places and things.

Annelise Drake

A fun-loving, seventeen-year-old high school junior. Her mother, Regina, was a security-intelligence warrior for the American Rebellion that fought the Raraks (pronounced RARE-acks), the secret army of hostile aliens from a far-away galaxy infiltrating the world's governments. Her father, Peter, was an innocent civilian that had no idea the aliens and the Rebellion even existed. Regina had wanted to tell Peter about it, but was too afraid of being caught. Rarak ears were everywhere. There was a beautiful love between them in despite of this.

The Raraks wanted to kill Regina because of her high standing in the Rebellion, but the Invasion had also started to collect humans to become slaves on their planet, creatively-named Rarak (genius, I know). So after Regina gave birth to her twins, Annelise being one of them, the Raraks killed Regina, weakened from child labor, and stole Annelise's twin brother, who looked to be the stronger of the two. Peter and Annelise were then alone, Peter not knowing anything about Annelise's twin, for conveniently, the doctor that birthed the children was a Rarak himself.

So Annelise was an only child for many years of her life. When she was seventeen, news reached the evil Raraks that her potential for becoming a Warrior for the Rebellion was high, and she was a danger to their secrecy (the Rebellion kept the Invasion a secret for the safety of innocent humans). The mysterious Lord of the Raraks, whose identity is not yet known, demands Annelise's head, but an intel mistake prevents that from happening and Annelise's bus driver, a Rarak Assassin, kills Peter instead.

Long intro, I know, haha.

So as far as you know, Annelise is an orphan with nowhere to go. Time to get introduced to the Rebellion!

I have grabbed real-life actors to portray every character, just because my imagination is fed well through real-life potential. When trying to decide who looks the most like Annelise, it took no time at all to decide that the young singer Jojo was the best pick, and closest to the true thing that could possibly exist. Not a lot of makeup though - Annelise has a true natural beauty.

Such gorgeous hair. I'm obsessed with that!

Every day I plan to upload two or three characters, and eventually you will know the whole story! Keep Annelise in mind though - she is the MAIN character and most of the story is told in her perspective.

Welcome!

Yay, my first blog! To be honest I've been wanting to do one for a long time now, but I've never gotten around to it, so welcome to my blog! :) This blog is called Novel Ideas, and will track my progress as I write three separate young adult series. This first post will explain all of them so that you guys get a grip of what I'm saying (which is more than a lot of people can do, haha).


All riiiight so here is the beginning, but first, I'm going to tell you a little bit about myself. I'm 20 years old and have am pursuing a double major in biochemistry and professional writing. I hope to one day become a technical writer (because I love writing soo much and chemistry is just, well, my thing). I love kayaking. The picture is from New Hampshire, when I went with my sister for a week to no-man's land and Augusta, Maine. Gorgeous up there. You guys have to go if you ever get the chance. Now enough about me, let's get down to the books!

I've been writing for 8 years now, and have finished four good books in that time (when I was 14 I wrote this really crappy series that I only keep for nostalgic reasons). I'm currently working on three books at once now, which sounds like it would be a lot, but it's really not, because they're all so different and I deeply enjoy letting my mind hop from one universe to another! (Come on, who DOESN'T?)

The first series I will be explaining is my science-fiction series, the Invasion of the Raraks. It takes place pretty much present-day, though the technology is a little advanced. Maybe 20 years in the future. But not insane. It's about an alien invasion that tries to conquer Earth by dominating a major country at a time, and America is the next target. They take over our government and we even elect one as president (SPOILER). It's not my BEST series, but I do enjoy it and I would love to keep on detailing it. I'll be inserting pictures, actors (that I dream portray the main characters), and other things that will show you the universe of the series.

The second series I'll be explaining will be The War of Rhilion, of which I am currently writing the third book and editing the first two (just because I'm crazy like that and think they're never perfect, haha). It's a fantasy book that has nothing to do with the modern world. It has wizards, kings, sea monsters, banished princes, resistances, and evil children because Stephen King is that awesome. No elves though, even I'm a LOTR freak. Just humans and an over-aged, rotting King dude named Raxithor.

The third series I just started like two weeks ago. It's actually a single novel for the moment, but I might make it a duo or a trilogy. It's called Operation Child, and is an apocalyptic story set in 3051 A.D. Isolationist countries rule the world, and greenhouse gases made the planet incredibly hot. The story centers around a small 10-year-old girl, Isabel Boynton, and her journeys, and the trains that ship children that cannot be looked after to an unknown place controlled by the government. It's pretty cool. I like it, but really, I just started it. The world in 3051, though, is a fantastic place in my mind.
